Tsavo East National Park Kenya

Tsavo East National Park is one of the oldest and largest parks in Kenya, spanning 13,747 square kilometers. Located in what was once known as the Taru Desert, a semi-arid region, it was established in April 1948 and is situated near the town of Voi in the Taita-Taveta County of the former Coast Province. The park is bisected into eastern and western sections by the A109 road and a railway. The park is named after the Tsavo River, which flows from west to east through the national park. It shares borders with the Chyulu Hills National Park and the Mkomazi Game Reserve in Tanzania.
