Reception at São Luís do Maranhão Airport and transfer to the selected hotel. Check-in at the hotel and the rest of the day at leisure.

After breakfast, we will depart for Barreirinhas, in the Lençóis Maranhenses, on a journey of approximately 4 hours (which may take longer depending on the travel season). Upon arrival in Barreirinhas, we will board private speedboats known as voadeiras and travel along the Preguiças River to Atins Beach.

Along the way, palm trees and mangroves are home to birds, reptiles and mammals. Our first stop will be at Vassouras, one of the many points where the dunes of the Pequenos Lençóis meet the Preguiças River. Capuchin monkeys and parrots delight visitors who stop to cool off with cold drinks served in the shade of the local stalls.

We will continue by speedboat to the Mandacaru Lighthouse, located in the village of the same name. From the top of its eight floors, it offers a 360-degree view of the area's exuberant landscape. We will then continue to the village of Atins. Check-in at the guesthouse.

After breakfast, at 9:00 a.m., we will visit one of the main lagoon circuits in Atins. We will travel by regular shared jardineira 4x4 vehicle to the Canto do Atins lagoon circuit, visiting the best lagoons of the season, which may include Gavião Lagoon, Kite Lagoon, Gaivota Lagoon and Sete Mulheres Lagoon. There will be time for swimming and photographs.

We will stop for lunch (not included) at one of the restaurants in Canto do Atins, famous for their shrimp and grilled fish dishes. We will return to the guesthouse at approximately 2:00 p.m.

After breakfast (departure time determined by the day's tides), we will cross the Preguiças River by speedboat and say goodbye to the Lençóis aboard powerful 4x4 vehicles. Deserted beaches, fields and dunes make up the landscape along this stretch. We will pass through Paulino Neves, known for its bridge over the Rio Novo. Secondary roads will take us to Tutóia, where we will board a fast boat (LUGGAGE WILL TRAVEL ON THE BOAT) for a journey through the Parnaíba Delta and its majestic labyrinth of islands and mangroves. Our first stop will be on the Canárias Island for lunch (not included) at a local resident's restaurant, Raimundo Ayres, which serves traditional cuisine based on fish and locally raised meats. After lunch, we will continue to Caju Bay, located in the central area of the Parnaíba Delta. We will stop at Morro do Meio for a walk among the dunes and a swim in the river, with a beautiful landscape for photographs. After approximately 20 minutes, we will continue to the main highlight of the tour: the flight of the scarlet ibis, or guarás. A small island in the middle of the Delta receives thousands of birds at the end of the day as they return to their roosting island—a true spectacle of nature. We will return under a blanket of stars to the Tatus Port, where our vehicle will be waiting for a transfer of approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes to the hotel in Barra Grande.

After breakfast, we will experience a little of the local way of life with a delightful canoe and horse-drawn carriage tour to observe seahorses in the Cardoso River estuary.

After breakfast, we will leave the hotel by horse-drawn carriage to the tour departure point, where we will begin a kayaking experience along the Camurupim River. We will paddle for approximately 1 hour, with opportunities to stop for swimming, photographs and observation of the local fauna and flora, including the mangrove ecosystem and the possibility of spotting birds, fish and crustaceans. At the end of the tour, there will be a tasting of regional delicacies, including a board with cold cuts, fruits, cashew nuts and cajuína, as well as a sparkling wine toast. To finish the experience, guests may return to the guesthouse by horse-drawn carriage or on foot.

After breakfast, we will depart for Jericoacoara, travelling 90 km on paved roads to the ferry crossing at the mouth of the Coreaú River in Camocim. We will cross by ferry to the white dunes and carnauba trees of Ilha do Amor.

The 4x4 vehicle will continue along the beachfront or through the forest trail to Tatajuba or Lago Grande, depending on the amount of water that day. We will enjoy the hammocks in the water and the seafood and fish dishes served at local restaurants. The second ferry crossing will take place at Guriú Beach, with its green-water channel and mangrove tree cemetery. We will continue along the beach to Jericoacoara. Overnight in Jericoacoara will provide an opportunity to enjoy the village's nightlife, restaurants, shops and bars.

Departure at 9:00 a.m., travelling approximately 15 minutes by buggy to Pedra do Frade. From there, there is a 30-minute walk along the beach or trail, depending on the tide. We will take photographs at Pedra Furada and then continue the tour, passing by the Preguiça Tree, Preá Beach, Buraco Azul (entrance fee not included), Lagoa Azul (raft crossing fee not included) and Lagoa do Paraíso, with a stop for lunch (not included).

Return to Jericoacoara through the Amâncio dunes. Tour duration: approximately 6 hours.
